Blame America!

An edited version of South Park's Blame Canada... the world can now Blame America!

Note: Apparently, I didn't have to change that many words...

Times have changed
Our kids are getting worse
They won't obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse

Should we blame the government?
Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?

No, blame America, blame America
With all their backward minds
And the orange heads so full of lies

Blame America, blame America
We need to form a full assault
It's America's fault

Don't blame me for my son Stan
He saw the darn election
And now he's off to join the Klan

And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf
But now when I see him he tells me to fuck myself

Well, blame America, blame America
It seems that everything's gone wrong
When Donald Trump came along

Blame America, blame America
Half its people picked the wrong guy anyway

My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer rich and true
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue

Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?
Heck no

Blame America, blame America
With all their football hullabaloo
And that woman Hillary too
Blame America, shame on America The smut we must cut, the trash we must smash
Laughter and fun must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before the world implodes on us

Hockey Helps the Homeless

On Friday, November 18, 2016, I will be participating in an all day hockey tournament called Hockey Helps the Homeless to support the Markham organization called 360 Kids.

Before you donate, take some time to read about the organization in a local newspaper. They have now teamed up with the regional school board to ensure these kids can complete their high school diploma in a safe environment. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2016/10/11/at-risk-youth-get-another-shot-at-high-school-through-richmond-hill-program.html

For this event, participants are to raise minimum $350 which is where I need your help. Any amount of donations would be fantastic. If you are Canadian, you will receive a tax receipt for any donation amount over $25.

If you wish to donate, please use the link at the bottom of this blog. However, to help me reach the goal of $350 or more, I do have some prizes to give away.

I have 7 items to give away and I will shipped them worldwide. Don't worry about postage, I will take care of it. They've been sitting on a shelf waiting to go to fans... I have 3 signed 8x11 The Listener card signed by Ennis Esmer, Rainbow Francks, and Melanie Scrofano. I also 5 Sex After Kids postcard signed by Amanda Brugel, Shannon Beckner, Christine Horne, and Peter Keleghan.

The rules:
It will be $5 per entry. So, if you decide to donate $25, you will get 5 chances.
The system will ask for your email address and so winners will receive an email confirmation.

Warning... of future posts...

This post is really just a warning. I am uncertain if I will follow through with it. However, future posts may possibly turn dark, very dark.

This is not about the darkness of colour but possibly a personal examination of my own mind. Where I may go with it, I don't know.

I will leave you with this image.

Yahoo Customer Support sucks.

Please excuse the following rant...

Why the fuck does some companies think it's ok to just lolligag their way in customer service? Sure, call me spoiled but don't we all except some type of answer or resolution within a reasonable time?

So back in December I wake up to realized I cannot access my yahoo email. Maybe it got hacked. Who knows. It should have been as easy as "forgot password," answer secret questions, pick your new password. No. Yahoo had to be a fucktart and says "oh, sorry, something is wrong with your account. Please contact customer support." Fine. That's simple enough. But no, you go to the online customer support and THERE IS NO FUCKING OPTION to contact them! Fine. Everyone get something resolved through social media now so, off to twitter I go.

About 24 hours, I get a DM to email them with the details. That's as "good" service as it got... 3 weeks of emailing these losers and all I get as an answer is, "I'm sorry but we're still looking at it." Or my favourite, "our engineering team is still looking after the issue." Why the fuck does it need an engineer to just help me reset a fucking password?!

Fine. Whatever. So, I have do a follow up email weekly to get the same answer and then suddenly 5 weeks from the originally problem, the email I sent "reached an inactive email." WHAT THE FUCK! How is it that for past 5 weeks that I've been just replying and suddenly becomes "inactive?"

It gets better. I go back to twitter to complain but NO FUCKING answer! I DM them. NOTHING. I tweeted again and oh look, a respond of "please reply to the email."

You fucker, have you not been reading my previous message??

I finally got fed up and emailed one last time with the following message.

"This is getting a point that's unacceptable. This originally issue was raised over a month ago.

The inconvenient is no longer tolerated."

And guess what happens... 24hrs after that email was send I got a "we just sent you a new temporary password."

I'm sorry. It took you FUCKIN SEVEN WEEKS to reset a damn fucking password? And it just needed a nasty email?

Maybe there's a reason why "Yahoo" rhythms with "Fuck You"

Thumb Watch 2014: Update

So, 72 hours have passed and it's time to rewrap!

So dry, dry blood... and it was very stuck. I had to use saline to get it unstuck.
So, it's only 4 stitches. 3 on the left ad 1 one the right. I could see that the nail was a bit off from the skin and the thumb had swollen up a bit. However, there is feeling everywhere on my fingers so, no damages to the nerves.

It could have been worse. Everything could be worse. Broken bone would have been worse. I had thought my thumb may have been more bruised due to the force of the hit. It seems the healing is on schedule.

So now, I wait another few days... I won't be playing hockey this weekend.

Thumb Watch 2014

What a way to end your slo-pitch season.

It is the last day of the season for playoffs. We won the quarter final game and now for the semi-final game. We win. We play in the final. We lose. We hit the booze for a fine season.

6th inning... left handed batter... ground ball... I went to get the ball. It hit me. Some how, I knew something didn't feel right but I finished off the play. I looked at my thumb and saw blood. I instinctively ran off the field screaming "call the ambulance!"

I got first aid on the spot but it was bad enough that I went to the hospital. So after 3 hours, I received 5 or 6 stitches and a permanent thumbs up.

The good news is there were no broken thumb. The issue is now doing things either with one hand of with my left hand. Luckily, I am ambidextrous. I am able to do things with my left hand, except my writing looks like a 5 year old... It could have been worse. Just need to rest up and heal.

So, things that I have been doing with either left hand or one-hand...
- shower... it was difficult and weird. It's not using the left hand part, it's the one hand part. It's definitely awkward
- computer... using the mouse isn't weird. It's the typing with one hand. I can use my right hand but the giant thumb gets in the way...
- driving... more dangerous then weird. I have only used my right hand as balance
- eating... the most difficult part is chopstick with left hand. I can use chopstick in my left hand but the awkwardness when you're at table. It's also muscles that I don't use often in my left hand

So far, that's what I've encountered... We'll see what tomorrow brings...

Fan Expo 2014

So, it's another year and another "will I be going or not?"

My first reaction was wait and see. After hearing that another con will have Lost Girl guest, it was unlikely any Lost Girl cast will be in Toronto... *buzzer sound* Wrong.

My initial reaction was a bit of a surprise and disappointment. This year's Lost Girl guests were Paul Amos, Rachel Skarsten, Anna Silk and Kris Holden-Ried. To be honest, it's not a bad line up... but really, you want the whole cast... Alas, Lost Girl wins again...

First, they had announced Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell. You know, Joxer and Autolycus from Xena? Then I saw Trish Stratus and Amy Dumas from WWE... Then I saw Jason David Frank, whose game is Tommy, the Green Ranger but he had to cancel.

Still, I wasn't sure if I really wanted to know. Yup, Lost Girl won... So, I bought the one day pass. I didn't get any autographs or pictures this year but the Fan Expo has been so over crowded and they keep over selling the event that once you get in, DO NOT LEAVE THE BUILDINGS!

But hey, how about some pictures?

And then Aaron Ashmore...

Now, the Lost Girl Q&A starts at 4:30 but... they were already lining up at like 2pm... Yes, 2.5 HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS! WE ARE SOME CRAZY PEOPLE!!

I'm checking to see if the video is available... right now, the video is on private. But in the mean time, tweets from the events were available here.

Of course, I will include pictures.

We were given THIS teaser to start. This is a scene from season 5... Tamsin... cheerleader? What's not to love? Here is a great line from this scene:
Tamsin: Gimme a D! Gimme a Y! Gimme a... suck my balls!"

All I have to say is Priceless, Classic, Tamsin!

I don't even know how to recap this... As you already know season 5 will be the last season. They talked about what will happen in season 5 and the themes will be family. A lot of the emotions from season 4 (Hale and Kenzi's death) will carry over and will affect them differently.

There will still be character development... but I think we got distracted by Rachel's choice of clothing... it looks like Star Trek...

Just in case it's not clear... here's a close up!

Because it is the last season, each member was asked what they would take with them when the show ends... There were non-Lost Girl related questions... in a Zombie attack, who would not survive... Paul quickly answered Rachel is clumsy and Anna's too nice which I have to say it's true.

We then had some twitter questions... What show do you want to see a cross over with Lost Girl. Somehow, Orange is the New Black was mentioned... Kris screamed "there's no part for me in the show."

Anna does sincerely love the fans. She got emotional and got weepy. Kris chimed in "the show wouldn't exist without you. Thank You!"

The Q&A ended with a selfie.

But how about we see it from the other angle. I'm not sure if it came from Paul or Rachel's phone but does it matter? It is awesome!
Quite a few of us (12 to be exact) had dinner together. It's always nice to catch up with friends you've made. Lost Girl has been a worldwide phenomenon... We had an Aussie at our table who did come to Canada for this event.

Hopefully I can get the video link for you. But for now, pictures and words are the best I can do.
