Seistran Ltd. - An UK Company

The REALLY questionable point is in the bold and italicized text... EMT? Who pays salary via EMT?

Upon googling... you reach a TERRIBLE (and I stress TERRIBLE) webpage.
Seistran.com
It looks like a high school student webpage! And look --> "Last updated: 03/12/2009"

And then you will also find a LinkedIn profile. AND
It was first active from about 1993 to 1999, then reformed in 2009.
Excuse me? You were in business for 6 years and then closed for 10 years?? And BP Research was your first customer... now BP Research isn't that BP Research is it? Cause you know, your credential just went out the windows...

  2. I work for CRA and I don´t know what they're talking about. This sounds really strange to me.
Quotation from the email: ´The CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) directly supports the market testing efforts of agencies by providing general guidelines, through the development of Market Testing Toolkit and providing guidance regarding the related agency banking framework.´

  3. I got this email too and immediately suspected insincerity. I have come across these 'fake' websites who just want your banking information. Glad to see other people have come to the same conclusion.

  4. This is just another scam (supposedly a UK company), a twist on a scam that has been going on for years. This is the second time in 5 years that I had a similar proposal through Workopolis!!! The first time, I got them to send me a certified cheque, I immediately called the issuing bank in Quebec, they let me know it was indeed fraudulent. I contacted both Phone Busters and the Police here in Calgary. I had the original cheque, envelope, email, and "Alberta" phone number which I assume was a cell number. What did Phone Busters and the Police do even with the possibility of finger prints and ability to triangulate cell phones? Absolutely nothing!!! Too bad, try to be proactive instead it lets you know that this stuff will continue to happen and no one is going to do anything about it. In the meantime people who fall victim are liable to replace the funds on fraudulent bank drafts...

  12. We can report a Fraud or Scam. This is website:

  13. I did too, I contacted the police for a contact to internet fraud. Was given info@phonebusters.com so I forwarded it. Anyone asking for banking, or credit card info to pay you? Identity theft phishing scam for sure.

and the e-mail for my recruiter was recruiter.seistran@xooorx.net

  14. Xooorx.net is my site and that recruiter's mailbox (and some others) somehow got hacked into existence without my knowledge. I've killed the mailboxes and reported this to my hosting provider since its their front-end that manages the mailboxes not mine.

Since I killed the mailbox I'm seeing the response they were getting show up in my non-existent accounts folder.

    The score so far:
    4 hopeful applicants
1 "do you think i'm stupid?"
1 item of spam for the spammers

They'll most likely show up on another address just as soon as they notice this one is gone.

  15. Because of the internet and a lot of job sites nowadays, you land a job easier and faster but we have to keep in mind that it also attracts many scammers.
If I could add a tip on job hunting online, not all job sites have reliable companies. And Workopolis don't really have a high chance of you getting employed. What you should do is don't just focus on one freelance site. You should open yourself up to a lot of great job opportunities by posting to at least 3 reliable freelance sites. I've realized this important tip after reading an article I've recently bumped into. You might also find it interesting, click here.
